When carried out by a trained and qualified hypnotherapist the benefits can be long lasting and often permanent. It is natural and safe, with no harmful side effects. Hypnotherapy is medically accepted to benefit the following and many more: depression, anxiety, sleep problems, smoking, weight management, improve study, work stress, sporting performance, low self esteem, phobias, reduce stress, stomach problems, IBS, pain control, dentistry, arthritic pains, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, nail biting and many more.

It may be surprising to many to learn that we experience trance states often during the course of our lives. Even passing into ordinary sleep involves a kind of trance state. The experience of hypnosis or trace is neither asleep nor awake and a little like daydreaming, with a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation behind it all. Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness which you can naturally enter, we go into trace many times a day such as when we are driving, watching television going out for runs etc.  For therapeutic purposes trance (hypnotherapy), gives access and can give direction to the subconscious mind; making contact with our inner self can release a reservoir of potential and help acquire the knowledge to address directly a source of many of our problems.
